The Wild Roadshow

What do we do?

At The Wild Roadshow, we provide educational animal handling encounters for children ages 3+.

Our hands on workshops complement the Science and Geography curriculum making us a very popular choice with schools throughout the North West.

We can introduce a new topic to the class such as Habitats, The Rainforest and Minibeasts or our sessions can be used as a topic re-cap or exam revision.

Generally we see one class at a time, allowing every single child the chance to interact with the animals and learn something new about them.

When do we do it?

We are available for bookings 7 days a week.

Where do we do it?

The welfare of our animals is paramount so we like to stay as local to Stockport, Cheshire as possible. We can however cover a radius of up to an hour traveling time from our base.

General Information

If you are looking for a unique party, where children are given the chance to handle a variety of exotic animals, then The Wild Roadshow is just for you.

You could get the chance to meet Ozzy, the most popular member of our team. He is a 3 year old Bearded Dragon and loves being held and stroked by children. Or how about experiencing what Holly the Hedgehogs spikes feel like or discovering how Rosie the Tarantula uses her venom.
Let’s not forget our other fascinating creatures such as Sally the Giant Snail, Eddie the Cockroach, Millie and Billie the Giant Millipedes, Nemo the Tree Frog and Ruby and friends the Domestic Fancy Rats.

Everyone will be actively encouraged, but not forced, to handle, touch or stroke most of the animals whilst learning about their natural habitats, diets and interesting facts.

The birthday boy or girl will have the chance to handle all of the animals first and will also be presented with their very own laminated certificate. Stickers are also given out to all children as a memento of their experience and included in the price are professionally designed invitations to send out to your guests.

When are you available for parties?

We are available for Birthday Parties on Saturdays and Sundays during term time and any day during the school holidays.

How long does it last?

A party with The Wild Roadshow will last for up to an hour.

How old do i have to be?

Due to the very hands on nature of these parties, we recommend a minimum age limit of 3 turning 4 years old.

What venues do you use?

We have presented our parties in many peoples homes, church halls, community centres, scout huts and pubs.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Saturday or Sunday - £85
Weekday during school holidays - £60

SCHOOL VISITS, LIBRARIES, CHILDREN CENTRES ETC

Weekdays
1 hour - £60
Half day (2-3 hours) - £140
Full day (up to 6 hours) - £210
SPECIAL OFFER - Book a full day visit to commence in April or May 2010 for just £180.

Weekends
1 hour - £85
Half day (2-3 hours) - £210
Full day (up to 6 hours) - £250 (negotiable)

How can i pay?

We accept cash, cheque or BACS transfer.

1. Don't forget your camera!
2. We recommend that you gives us a much notice as possible to avoid disappointment. We find that if your date isn't flexible, 6-8 weeks notice is best.
