What do we do?

Select your own piece of bisque (unpainted pottery), draw your design, and start painting. Let your imagination run wild!

We supply everything from stamps and stencils, to aprons, brushes, tiles and paint, all of which are non-toxic and food safe.

With hundreds of bisque shapes for you to choose from, we really do have something for everyone. Our friendly, trained staff will help you with your painting and give you ideas and encouragement throughout.

in our cafe with a delicious coffee and cake while your child lets off some steam in the soft play area and ball pool.

We have the best choices of party in the North East including Ceramic Ornament Painting, Mug n Slush, Jewellery Making, Scalextric Grand Prix and Teddy Bear Making. You can even add a Disco to all our parties for a small supplement

When do we do it?

7 days a week from 10am until 5pm or 5.30pm .
Party slots are available every day at 10.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 4.30pm. All parties last for 1 1/2 hours. Disco parties run from 5 to 7.

Where do we do it?

The Ceramic Studio is minutes from Gateshead and right next to the A1 motorway. We are on Chainbridge Road Blaydon, right next to Scotswood Bridge.

General Information

Have the best birthday party for your children at the ceramic experience.
We have several different party options.
Ceramic Painting.
Every child paints an item either in acrylic (which you can take with you) or in underglaze, which you can leave to be fired and pick up a day or so later.
Mug n Slush
Paint a mug in underglaze paint for kiln firing and have a lovely present for each child. Have a large cold slush with your party meal.
Jewellery Making.
Make a stylish necklace and bracelet from our huge selection of bead craft. Great Fun.
Teddy Bear Making.
Beautiful, high quality Teddy Bear's for the children to make and love. Paint a T Shirt to dress it and take it home in it's own party bag.
Glass Fusing
Ideal for older children. Make your own glass tile and pendant from our massive range of glass.
Scalextric Grand Prix
We have the largest Scalextric track in the North East with computer control software and multi screens. Enjoy all the fun of a full Grand Prix Season and finish off with an endurance race and prize giving.
Disco.
Add a Disco to any party for a small supplement

When are you available for parties?

Time slots available:

10.30 - 12pm
12.30 - 2pm
2.30 - 4pm
4.30 - 6pm
Disco Party 5 - 7pm

How long does it last?

The party duration is 1 1/2 hrs and at the end the ornament along with a piece of birthday cake is placed into a party bag. (Birthday cake is not provided

How old do i have to be?

We have held parties from 1 year old through to retirement. We really have something for everyone

What venues do you use?

All our venues are in house. We have a seperate area for your party and food and disco is behind our party wall

How Much does it cost?

For Parties the cost is from £11 per child for our standard ceramic painting.
Mug n Slush and Teddy Bear making are £15
Scalextric and Glass are £13 and Jewellery is £14.
This includes all activities and equipment, aswell as our old fashioned Party Tea with 3 types of sandwiches, savouries, crisps, cakes and biscuits. All come with unlimited juice for the guests.

How can i pay?

We require a £25 deposit with each booking with the balance due on the day

1. Please note that we do not provide birthday cake.
2. We open in the evenings by arrangement for works outings, mothers get-togethers, brownies and hen parties. Just call to arrange an evening visit.
