We are at your service 7 days a week. Most of our parties are at the weekend but mid-week is a pleasure

Science Boffins are a national company with presenters up and down the country. They are there for you, be it Devon in the sunny south west or up in the Scottish lowlands or somewhere in between.

Have you ever broken out in a cold sweat, worried what on earth you can do for your child’s next birthday party? You have done the Clowns, Magicians and Face-painters and you are racking your brains for something a little more intellectual.

Science Boffins are available to stimulate and entertain the party. By clever use of scientific experiments (all clean, safe and no mess, by the way) the Boffins relieve you of the burden of keeping your kids safe and amused. They pride themselves on the touchy-feely hands-on approach that involves all the participants. Fun is compulsory and leaning follows almost automatically.

When are you available for parties?

They can entertain at almost any time although the majority of our parties are at the weekends.
You will find that the younger children (5's and 6's) are usually better in the mornings when they are at their brightest.

How long does it last?

Experience has shown that it is best to work right through without a break. This way continuity is not lost and nor is their concentration. Also often with food comes the dreaded sugar spike. That is why it is preferred for them to be feed after the presentation.

We are passionate that they will leave us wanting more science so we prefer that they leave the table wanting more rather than we overtax them and they get bored.

How old do i have to be?

Typically the young scientist should be between 5 and 12. Younger ones can be there so long as the parents accept the fact that some of it may be over the toddlers heads.

What venues do you use?

Science Boffins are just as happy in your home or in a hall. Just give them a table about 4 feet long (1.3m) on which to put the experiments and enough room for all the children to sit on the floor. Not that they will be sitting for long! They will soon be running about doing experiments.

But don't worry. It is all clean and dry indoors and your place will be left just as it as found.

How Much does it cost?

Prices start from just £195.00 for one hour up to 20 children. More children are no problem but a subject to a small surcharge.

How can i pay?

A deposit of just £50.00 will secure your party date and time with the balance payable two weeks before the event.

These payments can be made by cheque, BACS Internet/Telephone transfer or Card over the phone. Remember, your Credit Card Company insures that you get value for money or your payment is refunded in full.
