Redpoint Climbing Centre

What do we do?

Redpoint is well known for its quirky approach to indoor climbing. Our centre is filled with odd shapes and angles from pyramids to stalactites, which all make for a unique climbing experience. Our instructors are passionate about climbing and experienced at communicating with groups of children.

When do we do it?

Our opening hours are from 12.00 – 22.00 during the week and 10.00 – 18.00 at weekends.

Where do we do it?

We’re located close to Birmingham City Centre, just off the A34 into the city. It's close to bus stops, and easy to find as the building is helpfully red and pointy!

General Information

Birthday parties last for two hours, during which we warm them up on our bouldering wall (short routes with mats instead of ropes) and play a few party games, before going on to the challenge of roped climbing. We maintain a ratio of one instructor to up to six children, to make sure they all get as much climbing time as possible.

Once everyone is thoroughly tired out, you can move upstairs to our group room, where you're welcome to lay out your party spread.

How Much does it cost?

The charge per participant is £15. All equipment hire is included in the price, as is the hire of the party room.

1. We need parental consent forms completed for all participants. You can download this from gigl or visit our website.
2. Everyone will have to wear protective helmets, so bear it in mind when you're doing your hair! Jewellery and scarves which might get caught in the ropes are also to be avoided.
3. Ask everyone to wear loose clothing they can move around in easily. Jeans are usually too tight.
4. Don't miss a photo opportunity! You might not see them in quite the same position ever again so don't forget your camera.
